Everybody talks about cutting people off, but nobody really talks about the grief that comes with having to stand firm on that decision knowing it's not what you wanted but was necessary for your well-being.

Grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change. The courage to change direction when I see them coming. And the wisdom to not try to smack some sense into them when I can't avoid them.
