Behind Desire

If you follow only the desires on the surface, without ever looking beneath them, you'll likely come up empty. For knowing why is a key part of accomplishment. If your desires are ever to be realized, you must question them. Know that beneath each and every desire is a more profound, more fundamental purpose.

Behind your desires you'll find something even more compelling -- purpose. The more often you bring that purpose to the surface, the more successfully your life will proceed.

You can do it

The biggest obstacle standing between you and anything you want, is your lack of belief that you can have it. Once you truly believe it is possible, once you can see yourself doing it or being it or having it, the rest is just details. With belief, plus the commitment to follow through and do whatever it takes, anything can be yours. What is it that you truly want to do? You can do it. Realize that you are as capable as any person. See yourself doing it. Touch it. Hear it. Taste it. Walk inside of it. Drive around in it. Believe in it and believe that it is yours. Everything you need to get there is available to you, when you believe and when you commit to getting there. Know that you can do it. Nothing can hold you back once you have belief and commitment. You will find a way.

Assumptions BLAH!

Remember, your assumptions are just that... assumptions. They can be very helpful. Yet they can also cloud your judgment. Don't get so comfortable with your assumptions that you forget about them. They have a powerful influence, and it's your job to make sure they're in line with reality. Conditions change. The assumptions you developed when you were a child, probably no longer apply. Yet you may still be basing some decisions on them. Priorities change. The assumptions you depended on when you graduated from school, may no longer reflect what's important to you. The marketplace changes. The assumptions that led to last year's sales increase, may no longer be valid. When you have a decision to make, remember to examine your assumptions. Think about how you've grown, and how you've changed. Don't base today's decisions on yesterday's assumptions.
